Slim Secrets wins award for Best Start Up Product
Slim Secrets, manufacturer of guilt-free snack ranges, took out the award for Best Start Up product (brand) at the inaugural SmartCompany Crown Lager Business Start up Awards, held on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at Melbourne's Crown Casino. They were also been ranked 22nd in the fastest growing start up.
Slim Secrets is undoubtedly no longer a secret!
For those who aren't in on the secret, Slim Secrets snack bars are a range of healthy, solutions-focused snacks that not only look great but are great for you with their unique combination of nutritional ingredients.
Slim Secrets founder and director Sharon Thurin said the awards were a major win for Slim Secrets as a new product range and also as a young up-and-coming business.
"It's fantastic that a company such as Smart Company have recognised Slim Secrets products and brand as one of Excellence with potential for substantial future growth. We found a niche in the healthy snack market and the potential for growth is very exciting"
The awards attracted hundreds of entries from companies all over Australia and highlight how start up entrepreneurs has been able to defy difficult economic conditions to produce strong growth.
The awards also underline how important start up businesses will be in driving Australia's economic recovery
