Let me fill you in on a little secret...
Losing Weight: Seeing Results with Weight Loss and Exercising
Life for Slim Secrets has been very exciting. We are in the process of launching
a new product which I will fill you in about it when it gets a little closer.
The brand Slim Secrets is growing in recognition and I am receiving emails
daily from consumers expressing their enjoyment not only the taste of the
bars, but also their nutritional panel. For example Narelle from NSW sent:
“Hi Sharon, Thanks very much for your reply. I tell you, I'm
a fussy eater and I LOVE these bars. I have one each night after dinner
and enjoy them immensely”.
It is also fantastic receiving positive feedback from parents of teenagers
who are eating the bars as part of their school snack and loving them!
To top things off and make things even more interesting we have got inquiries
from potential customers in may parts of the world for Slim Secrets products
from Turkey to China. Isn’t the internet an amazing tool? These companies
found out about our brand by googling on the internet.
Also many thanks to the students at RMIT that are doing their final term
assignment on the potential overseas export markets for Slim Secrets. I am
looking forward to seeing the results of their efforts.
Anyway I just wanted to fill you in on a little that is going on around
here and now to the reason for this month’s newsletter.
This article is about being more consistent with your approach to losing
weight and getting fitter.
We all know it doesn't happen overnight and it's what you do on a regular
basis that will make the difference.
Are you seeing and achieving the results you want? I often heard my clients
say they've been following a diet and exercising, yet their weight doesn't
always appear to be reducing.
When I'm working with people who want to lose weight and become fitter, one
of the reasons I've found to account for this is that their approach is sporadic.
They may start a strict diet, give up after a couple of weeks, and then
start another, perhaps a different one.
A certain event, maybe a special birthday or a holiday often sets this cycle
off again and afterwards they stop the diet.
These typical examples reveal how being sporadic in your approach to your
health leads to you being half-hearted. Do you join a gym and then give it
up or are you still paying for it, yet not even going? Are you eating meals
regularly? Are your eating habits irregular? Do you skip meals sometimes,
mostly breakfast?
The way to achieve the results that you're looking for is to be consistent.
Being consistent means choosing a regular exercise and eating plan and committing
to it.
This needs to fit in totally with your life and needs to be continued, even
after you've started seeing some results.
Developing a regular exercise and eating plan, and following it consistently
will allow you to lead a healthier life.
Being healthy is something which needs to be approached consistently and
when you're being sporadic in your approach you're unlikely to achieve the
results you want. Many people are haphazard in their approach, particularly
with regard to weight loss.
If you've been sporadic you're very normal but there are ways that you can
change to make you more consistent.
Look at the reasons you're being sporadic and deal with them. Perhaps you
need to write some of this down to enable you to explore more fully what's
going on.
There are a number of ways that you can become more consistent with your
weight loss.
One way is to make it an integral part of every day and not something that
has to be fitted in if you have time. You can make a plan for your eating
and exercise. Look at all parts of this plan to schedule the time you need
to devote to it in your life.
If there are times when you're being sporadic, don't give yourself a hard
time; instead, celebrate the time that you achieve consistency. This will
help you to build momentum, which will in turn enable you to feel more motivated
to continue.
I've found that being sporadic often occurs when you may be taking on too
much. Perhaps, when you first started exercising you committed to doing too
much and too often. This becomes difficult to maintain and may lead to you
giving up.
I would suggest that you commit to an eating and exercising plan that is
achievable on a consistent basis. For instance, decide to exercise once a
week and stick at it, rather than committing to six times a week initially
and then giving up.
You can always build on this weekly exercising once it has become a consistent
habit. Being consistent in your actions will bring you consistent results.
What do you need to be doing on a regular basis to achieve weight loss and
health for yourself?
Be safe and have fun
Warm wishes
Sharon
Enjoy where you're going
How many moments do you fail to enjoy simply because you don't allow yourself
to enjoy them? How many days do you go through without permitting yourself
even a few minutes of pure and unrestrained pleasure?
I know there are some days that are better than others and some moments in
the day that are also more enjoyable than others. Unfortunately it sometimes
takes an illness or problem with you, your family or your friends to jolt you
into making the most of every day.
When someone I know gets sick or even dies it reminds me how fragile my own
life is. It also reminds me to enjoy every moment I can and make the best
of my life in a way that makes me happy. That doesn't make me selfish although
it may sound that way, just fulfilled without regrets.
Look at the people who are most effective at what they do, and you'll find
people who are enjoying themselves. Have you ever heard of anyone who became
a spectacular success by being miserable? Probably not.
Enjoyment doesn't require you to abandon your discipline, your ambition, your
responsibility or your focus. There are countless ways to enjoy yourself while
staying positively on track.
Enjoy life today, even though it is not perfect. The more you enjoy, the closer
you'll come to making your life into exactly what you want it to be.
Enjoy your success not just after you've achieved it, but also while you're
working to bring it about.
Enjoy where you're going, not just where you've been. Enjoy the process of
success, and you'll have much more of it. Enjoy yourself each day, and those
days will lead you to great things.
