Welcome to secrets news
Healthy habits you can stick with
Let me fill you in on a little secret...
To all those who took up our special offer of 2 free Slim Secrets
bars of your choice being sent to your doorstep, I hope you liked them. I
had great feedback from many of you but if you get a minute and you liked
what you received I would be really grateful if you could send me an email
with your positive comments for later use on the website. (You can just use
initials or first name if you don't want your full name.
I also had many
of my Australian subscribers asking where they could purchase the bars
if they
didn't live close to our Stockists. I suggested that they can now be purchased
at www.completehealth.com.au and
delivered to you if you can't get out and buy them or can't find them. The secret to Slim Secrets is to understand that it is not a miracle bar (there
are no miracle tablets, lotions, sprays etc available) which will solve all
your weight/health issues. HOWEVER if you eat 3 healthy meals (not to large)
for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a Slim Secrets snack to keep you going
between meals some of the time/or fruit, vegetables, grains and nuts you are
on your way to a healthier lifestyle. If you increase your physical activity
if it is minimal at present and increase that activity slowly, this will take
you another step closer to that healthy lifestyle. If you find an activity
that you can enjoy there is far more chance that you will stick with it. You
don't need to punish yourself with this physical activity, because once it
becomes a chore or torture many give it away.
Today I wanted to share some secrets with you about overeating by Carol Solomon
Ph.D.
Be safe and have fun. Warm wishes
Sharon
What Type of Overeater Are You?
According to Dr. Rossi, in "The 20-Minute Break", there are
4 types of overeaters. See if you recognize yourself.
- Stress Overeater:
You overeat and over snack at any time
of the day in direct response to the stresses of everyday life.
Solution:
Recognize your stress limits and learn how to say no before you reach them.
Break the stress syndrome by taking breaks, which will help you gain perspective
on those situations you need to cope with more creatively.
- Fatigue Overeater:
In a futile effort to overcome stress and fatigue,
you snack almost continuously after 3:00 or 4:00 P.M., even after a full
meal, until bedtime.
Solution:
Pace yourself better throughout the day with several breaks and a midafternoon
rest to avoid fatigue buildup. Check in with yourself many times during the
day so that you are aware of when you need to start restoring your energy
level
- Addictive Overeater:
You are a cyclic overeater or drinker who
regularly consumes to many addictive substances, such as caffeine (coffee,
tea, chocolate, soda) or alcohol.
You may also use sugary foods for their mood altering effects to stave off
depression.
Solution:
Study the patterns of your addictive behavior.
How long is it between when you indulge and when you need another fix? When
you have the urge for these substances, use a 20-Minute Break to rejuvenate
yourself.
- Escapist Overeater:
You often eat alone in an effort to escape unpleasant
realities that you don't know how to cope with.
Solution:
Use the time that you would be eating as an escape to make an inventory of
your life and what you are using food for. What is it you want to escape
from?
Remember, it's not food that is the problem.
It's what we use food for.
